Din klub kan få en spændende gæst ...
Dato: 15.04.2011

Hello District 1440!
My name is Sarita Fae Jarmack, and I am currently a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar from District 5520 for the year of 2011-2012. In the Fall, I will attend Aalborg University with intent to receive a 2-year masters Degree from the International Relations and Development Program. I have received my Undergraduate degree in Special Education from the University of New Mexico and I am currently working for the Ministry of Education in the Republic of Georgia as an ESL teacher.
Since my Youth Exchange year with Rotary in 2005, my consciousness of globalization has increased, sparking an interest and passion for topics
surrounding political science and the theories of International Relations .My life has rapidly become globalized as I find myself teaching in places such as Sri Lanka and the Republic of Georgia (in which I am
currently located), working on development projects in South/Central America and seeing the effects of the rapidly developing world in my own back yard of New Mexico.
My involvement with Rotary as an Exchange student to Sweden and working on service projects through Rotary Internationals ProjectLink, have gratefully led to the Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholarship. This Scholarship emphasizes the component of service within the community while providing the opportunity to study abroad for one year.
With my interest in the art of teaching and the usage of education in development, I became intrigued by Aalborg’s unique strategies of teaching and learning about the field of International Relations. The emphasis on group work and real world situations will allow me to apply the theories of international relations to my immediate world. Its international student populations will enrich the knowledge base and I am told that the resources are phenomenal. I look forward to attending the Aalborg University Institute and working with the professors to further my education in the field of International Relations.
